These days, my favorite summer shoes have to be realistic for this season of life — mostly chasing after a toddler on beaches and hiking trails, then dressing up for the occasional dockside dinner or evening out. Comfort is essential, but I still want to feel pulled-together, even when the days are nonstop.
Cute flats like these (SO comfy!) and these are perfect for slipping on when I'm dashing out the door, and I’ve been reaching for simple white sneakers for stroller walks and playing tennis. If my outfit is simple, I like wearing these to make even a linen shirt and jeans feel like a "look". The gold embellishment on these flats have largely replaced my need for heels this summer - they look special and elevated without the height, same goes for these gold sandals and these (almost sold out!). For dinners out or special plans, I've been loving my wedge espadrilles, especially these (size down 1/2 a size) and these — they give me a little lift but still navigate oyster shell patios and uneven docks with ease. Despite all that, I'm still eyeing these to pair with my dressiest looks. (Such a classic!)
